Senior Software Engineer (Data Infrastructure)

Senior Software Engineer (Data Infrastructure): Build and own end-to-end data systems for hirify.global’s global trade platform with an accent on data pipelines, distributed infrastructure, and streaming data processing. Focus on designing scalable, reliable, and secure architectures that ingest, process, store, and deliver supply-chain events in real time, including on-call incident response.

What you will do

• Own critical data pipelines and the architecture behind systems that process millions of supply chain events daily.
• Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure including distributed compute, data orchestration, distributed storage, and streaming infrastructure.
• Architect solutions for complex global trade workflows, from tracking containers to coordinating multi-modal logistics data.
• Partner with engineers across the infrastructure team to continuously improve systems and operational processes.
• Build transparency through strong documentation and mentoring of junior engineers.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to critical incidents.

Requirements

• 2+ years of data infrastructure engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience in either infrastructure engineering supporting product/engineering teams in a fast-paced global environment, or software development building tools in Java, Ruby, Go, or Python.
• Experience with data pipelines such as Kafka or Kinesis.
• Experience with cloud data warehousing such as Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS RDS/Redshift, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with developer tooling: source/artifact management, CI/CD, and configuration automation with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Experience with IaaS, Kubernetes, containers, and service-oriented architectures.
