Power Supply Development Engineer

What you will do

• Define, develop, source, and qualify OEM power supplies to meet product and market requirements.
• Perform hands-on lab characterization of new power supplies.
• Design and support dual-grid and redundant AC or DC power systems.
• Apply analog and power circuit design expertise to system qualification and testing.
• Write technical reports and communicate technical issues to power, software, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with OEM vendor engineering teams abroad and lead projects from concept through production; travel internationally as required.

Requirements

• MS in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years’ experience.
• Experience with regulatory processes for designing and certifying power supplies in commercial electronics.
• Strong knowledge of AC-DC and DC-DC design issues, system-level power distribution, and industry best practices.
• Experience sourcing power supplies from 100W to 3000W supporting both AC and DC input power.
• Understanding of design challenges in large modular systems delivering total power up to ~30 kW.
• Familiarity with 54V to 12V IBC 1–3 kW converter bricks and PCB power distribution layouts using such modules.
