What you will do

• Own end-to-end ML solutions for player-facing features including matchmaking and personalization.
• Set technical direction for ML domains and create reusable modeling patterns.
• Develop ranking systems and decision logic to improve player discovery and engagement.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to translate telemetry into reliable signals.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate model quality and player impact.
• Establish monitoring and observability practices for live ML systems.

Requirements

• Must be based in Los Angeles
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field.
• 6+ years of experience delivering ML systems in production, with 3+ years in applied modeling or research.
• Proven track record of influencing technical direction beyond an immediate team.
• Experience working with complex data sources and interacting models in production.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor engineers across levels.

Nice to have

• Background in reinforcement learning, imitation learning, or generative models.
• Experience bridging research prototypes into reliable production systems.
• Familiarity with ML platform components like feature stores and model serving.
