What you will do

• Lead data strategy execution and metadata maturity for federal data modernization.
• Oversee lakehouse operations, including schema design, pipeline reliability, and distributed processing.
• Define data trust models and standards for admission, promotion, and stewardship of data assets.
• Coordinate with AI, BI, and product teams to ensure data readiness for responsible AI expansion.
• Establish data quality monitoring for completeness, conformance, and freshness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or Math with 12+ years in IT.
• 14+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Must pass U.S. Federal Government public trust clearance (requires US citizenship or specific residency/visa requirements).
• Experience with lakehouse platforms (e.g., Databricks), ingestion, and transformation.
• Ability to operate within the Eastern Time Zone (9 AM - 5 PM ET).

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Databricks certifications, or DAMA/CDMP.
• Background in healthcare or public sector regulated data.
• Familiarity with RAG patterns and AI service governance.
