TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Unreal Engine 5): Building gameplay and engine systems for a new original game with an accent on core gameplay, AI, and delivery pipelines. Focus on designing narrative and exploration systems, supporting the Metahuman pipeline, and integrating modern Unreal pipelines for improved efficiency.

Location: Remote (Must be legally eligible to work in and reside within Canada). Pacific-time overlap required.

What you will do

  • Build core gameplay systems, including narrative, exploration, and inventory.
  • Support artists and animators through the Metahuman pipeline.
  • Collaborate with designers to implement high-quality and engaging gameplay experiences.
  • Integrate modern Unreal Engine pipelines to enhance development efficiency and quality.
  • Communicate technical constraints, trade-offs, and execution plans to project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must reside within Canada.
  • Ability to overlap with Pacific Time (PT).
  • Strong experience with Unreal Engine 5.
  • Ability to work across gameplay systems, AI, and platforms support.
