TL;DR

Senior Medical Writer (Medical Communications): Creating high-quality medical affairs deliverables and scientific content with an accent on accuracy, clarity, and audience engagement. Location: Must be based in the US, with a preference for East Coast candidates. Flexible hybrid and remote options available.

Salary: $110,000 – $115,000 per year.

What you will do

  • Research, write, and revise high-quality, original editorial content for medical affairs.
  • Ensure scientific accuracy through rigorous editing and referencing.
  • Liaise with clients, authors, and internal colleagues to manage project progress.
  • Attend congresses, symposia, and advisory board meetings to support speakers and clients.
  • Contribute to project specifications, costings, and scheduling to ensure budget and timeline adherence.
  • Mentor new writers and participate in account development meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences required (PharmD or PhD highly advantageous).
  • Minimum 2 years of medical writing experience in an agency setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and PubMed/Internet research.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Must be based in the US (East Coast preference).

  • Advanced degree (PharmD or PhD).
