Staff Engineer (SRE)

Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

Salary: $184,120–$275,450

What you will do

• Lead the definition and implementation of SLOs and SLIs for critical hybrid cloud services.
• Automate core on-prem utilities including DHCP, PXE, and NTP to support HIL bench infrastructure.
• Develop observability dashboards and alerting systems to reduce MTTR for high-severity incidents.
• Ensure data path integrity and dependency stability across test benches and production runtimes.
• Provide technical mentorship to team members and drive process improvements.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with a focus on hybrid cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in coding with Python or Go.
• Expertise in Linux systems administration and automation of networking utilities.
• Deep experience with configuration management tools like Chef or Ansible and Infrastructure as Code.
• Ability to work independently on complex conceptual issues.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes (k8s).
• Experience managing hybrid service connectivity between on-prem and multi-cloud environments.
