Salary: $185,000–$200,000

What you will do

• Build and maintain ASP.NET MVC 5 views and integrate them with shared business and data-access layers.
• Partner with Product Owners and UX designers to translate complex financial aid requirements into well-scoped technical implementations.
• Lead peer code reviews and raise engineering quality standards across two delivery teams.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate the modernization of ~100 web views by 2027.
• Participate in Agile SCRUM ceremonies and contribute to roadmap and sprint planning.
• Resolve production issues and ensure adherence to security policies and CI/CD best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of production-level software development experience with deep expertise in C# and ASP.NET MVC.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
• Proven ability to translate complex domain requirements into dev-ready stories for non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience navigating layered architectures and modernizing legacy codebases.
• Ability to travel 3-5 times a year to NYC or Reston, VA offices.
• Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development tools and mentoring team members.

Nice to have

• Experience modernizing legacy Windows/desktop applications to web platforms.
• Proficiency with DevExpress MVC Extensions, Autofac DI, jQuery, SQL Server, and xUnit/Moq.
