What you will do
- Lead complex data engineering workstreams across multiple business domains and stakeholder groups.
- Design and implement scalable ingestion, transformation, and serving patterns using cloud-native technologies.
- Translate ambiguous stakeholder requirements into structured pipeline strategies and curated data layers.
- Establish best practices for schema design, data lineage, validation, and maintainable engineering patterns.
- Coach and develop team members through feedback, guidance, and performance support.
- Collaborate with AI scientists and architects to ensure data foundations support AI and agentic workflows.
Requirements
- Must be based in Brazil.
- Upper-intermediate English level required for client-facing communication.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud-based platform design.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, and PySpark.
- Deep technical expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Foundry, APIM Gateway, App Insights, and Cosmos DB.
- Proven experience in people leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management.
