TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (Orchestration): Building and maintaining reusable automation workflows and integration patterns for the internal engineering platform with an accent on developer experience and scalability. Focus on designing REST API integrations, event-driven architectures, and CI/CD practices to support over 8,000 engineers.
Location: Must be based in or able to work in Utrecht, Netherlands (Hybrid)
Salary: €5,030 – €7,183 gross per month

What you will do
- Design and develop orchestration workflows to automate engineering journeys via the ANOW! platform.
- Build reusable automation components and templates to reduce manual effort for engineering teams.
- Develop integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns.
- Improve CI/CD practices and existing workflows to ensure smooth service onboarding.
- Collaborate with platform engineers, service providers, and product owners to standardize platform solutions.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work in the Netherlands
- Experience as a DevOps, Software, or Platform Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in API and integration development (REST, OAuth2, webhooks).
- Experience with TypeScript and/or Python.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tooling (Azure DevOps preferred).
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to design scalable, reusable solutions.
Nice to have
- Experience with workflow or orchestration platforms.
- Knowledge of event-driven architectures and Domain-Driven Design.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CDK.
