DevOps Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

DevOps Engineer (AWS/Python): Designing and maintaining a modern AWS-based cloud platform with an accent on Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD automation. Focus on migrating on-premises infrastructure to AWS and implementing observability using CloudWatch and Datadog.

Location: Hybrid (Remote + 2 days a week in the office in Almere, Netherlands)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain a modern AWS-based cloud platform.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS CDK with Python.
• Set up and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines using AWS-native and Git-based tools.
• Strengthen observability, monitoring, logging, and tracing via CloudWatch and Datadog.
• Implement DevSecOps practices to ensure platform security and compliance.
• Drive the migration from on-premises infrastructure to AWS.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS as the primary platform.
• Practical experience with AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
• Good working knowledge of Linux systems.
• Experience with containerized environments, specifically ECS Fargate.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Almere, Netherlands for hybrid office attendance.

Nice to have

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
• Experience with hybrid setups (on-premises + cloud).
• Proven track record in AWS cost optimization.
• Contributions to platform engineering or internal developer platforms.
