Senior Software Engineer (Healthtech): Designing and developing complex data pipelines and LLM-powered extraction tools for clinical insights with an accent on scalability and healthcare data governance. Focus on building high-performance data processing systems using Spark and Snowflake to transform real-world evidence into oncology insights.

What you will do
- Design and develop complex, business-critical data pipelines using a variety of data processing tools and automation.
- Expand capabilities in Deep Learning and LLM-powered extraction to derive clinical insights from global datasets.
- Collaborate with oncologists, clinicians, and product leaders to translate clinical challenges into technical solutions.
- Contribute to team roadmaps and help build the European engineering team and company culture.
- Iterate rapidly on products while ensuring engineering practices for quality and security are maintained.
- Develop deep knowledge of German healthcare data sources, security, and privacy requirements.
Requirements
- 4-8 years of professional experience as a data engineer.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, C#, and SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and data warehouse solutions like Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with orchestration and processing tools such as Databricks, Spark, Ray, DBT, Prefect, or Airflow.
- English: Fluent (C1) required.
- Location: Must be based in Berlin.
Nice to have
- Experience working in healthcare in Germany or exposure to standards like HL7.
- Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in computer science or a related field.
- Experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or security engineering.
- Conversational German.
