What you will do

• Design and develop complex, business-critical data pipelines using a variety of data processing tools and automation.
• Expand capabilities in Deep Learning and LLM-powered extraction to derive clinical insights from global datasets.
• Collaborate with oncologists, clinicians, and product leaders to translate clinical challenges into technical solutions.
• Contribute to team roadmaps and help build the European engineering team and company culture.
• Iterate rapidly on products while ensuring engineering practices for quality and security are maintained.
• Develop deep knowledge of German healthcare data sources, security, and privacy requirements.

Requirements

• 4-8 years of professional experience as a data engineer.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Python, C#, and SQL.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and data warehouse solutions like Snowflake.
• Hands-on experience with orchestration and processing tools such as Databricks, Spark, Ray, DBT, Prefect, or Airflow.
• English: Fluent (C1) required.
• Location: Must be based in Berlin.

Nice to have

• Experience working in healthcare in Germany or exposure to standards like HL7.
• Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. in computer science or a related field.
• Experience in infrastructure, DevOps, or security engineering.
• Conversational German.
