Broadcast IP Delivery Engineer (Broadcast)

TL;DR

Broadcast IP Delivery Engineer (Broadcast): Providing technical engineering support for live sports productions with an accent on IP-based systems and connectivity workflows. Location: Hybrid (3 days in office), based in Osterley, London. Must have the appropriate right to work in the UK (no sponsorship provided).

What you will do

• Prepare and configure OB graphics systems including Viz Engines, Trio, and NDI/HTML5 workflows for live events.
• Manage connectivity and contribution systems such as Peplink, Starlink, LiveU, and Makito for venue-to-hirify.global signal delivery.
• Build, stage, and operate flyaway kits (VFA/MCRFA) for domestic and international OBs.
• Provide on-site engineering support and troubleshooting during live sporting events to ensure system reliability.
• Integrate IP kit, VLANs, and KVM endpoints into partner OB trucks.
• Conduct QA and workflow testing for new software versions and graphics pipelines.

Requirements

• Experience with contribution encoders/decoders and live media transport (LiveU, Makito, Appear, SRT, RTMP).
• Strong knowledge of IP networking in broadcast environments, including VLANs, multicast, Dante/AES67, and KVM-over-IP.
• Hands-on experience in OB, studio, or remote production environments, including rigging and network integration.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues under high pressure during live broadcasts.
• Experience in technical documentation and configuration management.

• Experience with broadcast graphics systems such as Viz, Trio, Chyron Prime, Paint, or AR/NCAM.
• Prior experience as a Broadcast, Graphics, IP, or Contribution Engineer.
• Experience working in both technical facility environments and on-site at live events.
