AI Expert (Data Science)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands

What you will do

• Synthesize mixed-source consumer and market data to uncover unmet needs, behaviors, and trends.
• Develop predictive and causal models (propensity, adoption, churn) for strategic decision-making.
• Utilize GenAI and LLMs to mine unstructured data with human-in-the-loop interpretation.
• Design and execute experiments (A/B, multivariate, conjoint) to validate innovation hypotheses.
• Build lightweight data tools and GenAI-enabled apps using Python, SQL, and FastAPI/Streamlit.
• Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and product teams to translate insights into quantitative business cases.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, CS, Applied Math, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8+ years of experience in applied data science within innovation, product, or research.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Expertise in ML, statistics, and causal inference (DiD, synthetic controls, IV, causal graphs).
• Experience building data tools/apps and working with unstructured data/LLMs.
• Must be based in or be able to work from Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Background in consumer electronics, appliances, or adjacent innovation sectors.
• Experience in FMCG innovation, behavioral science, or growth analytics.
