AI Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

AI Engineer (Fintech): Designing and scaling production-grade agentic AI systems for a global banking network with an accent on multi-agent orchestration, RAG pipelines, and distributed cloud-native architectures. Focus on building observable and traceable agent workflows, implementing memory mechanisms, and ensuring AI safety in a regulated financial environment.

Location: Hybrid in Istanbul (Vadistanbul office); typically 2 days per week in office for 3 weeks a month, with one fully remote week.

What you will do

• Design and build cloud-native distributed AI systems and multi-agent orchestration architectures using Python.
• Develop robust microservices and APIs (REST/gRPC) using modern software engineering practices.
• Implement tool-calling loops, agent handoff protocols, and short/long-term memory mechanisms for agent systems.
• Operate and optimize RAG pipelines and vector-based retrieval systems.
• Deploy and manage applications via Kubernetes, OpenShift, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish AI safety controls, including prompt injection protection and output validation mechanisms.

Requirements

• Strong Python programming skills and experience with asynchronous programming models.
• Hands-on experience with GCP (Vertex AI, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery) and Terraform.
• Practical experience with LLMs (Gemini, Claude), RAG systems, and vector databases.
• Familiarity with multi-agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI.
• Proven track record of shipping AI-powered services into production environments.
• Location: Must be based in Istanbul and able to work in a hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Java or Kotlin.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and high-load APIs.
• Experience building Generative AI solutions in enterprise environments.
• Background in banking, fintech, or other regulated industries.
