What you will do

• Shape the lakehouse architecture, including table formats, storage layout, and engine integration, documented through ADRs.
• Architect and implement a shift-left data governance strategy using data contracts, SLOs, and quality gates.
• Collaborate with Data & Intelligence leadership to translate business strategy into a technical platform roadmap.
• Mentor and review the work of data engineers to raise overall engineering standards and technical depth.
• Establish and scale MLOps & AIOps capabilities, defining patterns for feature stores, model registries, and LLM orchestration.
• Partner with Product & Platform engineering to ensure the data platform effectively feeds customer-facing intelligence.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform roles, with several years at senior or staff level.
• Deep hands-on experience with modern lakehouse stacks, ideally Apache Iceberg, Delta, or Hudi on object storage.
• Production experience with cloud warehouses, including RBAC security and cost management.
• Proven track record of setting technical direction via RFCs, ADRs, and design reviews.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching junior and senior engineers.
• Practical MLOps experience with model registries, feature serving, and drift monitoring.
