Senior Data Scientist (ML)

Focus on productionizing models, optimizing data pipelines, and building end-to-end automated workflows for issue resolution.

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, The Netherlands (required office attendance 2 days a week)

What you will do

• Design and deploy ML solutions to validate and reduce map quality issues such as data drift and distribution shifts.
• Define and drive data analysis and model evaluation standards using advanced segmented performance metrics.
• Lead the productionization and optimization of models and data pipelines in collaboration with engineers.
• Build automated end-to-end workflows to minimize manual processes from issue detection to closure.
• Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality, production-ready solutions.
• Mentor junior scientists and coordinate data science initiatives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in data science or applied science roles at a senior level.
• Strong expertise in supervised/unsupervised machine learning and dimensionality reduction.
• Excellent Python skills and experience with large-scale data processing (e.g., Spark).
• Proven track record of building and deploying ML solutions in production environments.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with geospatial or road network data.
• Proficiency with ML experimentation and monitoring tools like MLflow or Databricks.
• Experience with Java and related technologies.
