Traveling Service Technician (m/f/d) (Wind Turbines)

Location: United States; 100% travel to project sites across the U.S. and Canada, with extended domestic and international travel required

Salary: $29.00–$32.00 USD per hour, plus up to a 5% bonus

What you will do

• Perform maintenance, inspections, retrofits, troubleshooting, and major corrective repairs on wind turbines.
• Replace gearboxes and other large components using specialized tools and equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve wind turbine issues safely and efficiently.
• Identify hazards, follow safety procedures, and use required protective equipment.
• Follow service schedules and instructions while completing administrative reports accurately.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers, subcontractors, peers, and management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a two-year degree in wind turbine technology or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Two to five years of field service experience with wind turbine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, component exchanges, and repairs is preferred.
• Experience using power tools and the ability to read drawings, schematics, instructions, and schedules.
• Ability to obtain certifications and work with medium- and high-voltage equipment, including required rigger/signal person and crane calling certifications.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization; valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain a U.S. passport required.
• Must be able to travel 100% to project sites, work overtime and variable schedules, meet OSHA and ANSI weight limits, and pass a pre-employment physical.

Nice to have

• Two-year degree in wind turbine technology or a similar field.
• Prior wind turbine field service experience.
