Location: Must be based in Canada (excluding Quebec). Hybrid for those near Vancouver, Calgary, or Toronto (minimum 2 days per week in office).

Salary: $104,500 – $141,500 CAD

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end incident response and investigations for medium- and high-severity security events.
• Own detection engineering across the corporate security stack, tuning DLP, EDR, phishing templates, and SSO/IdP signals.
• Build and maintain automations, integrations, and auto-remediation playbooks to move work left.
• Act as incident commander on high-severity events, coordinating response and communicating with stakeholders.
• Coach junior analysts and establish durable runbooks and documentation.
• Support security compliance requirements for SOC 2, ISO 27001, GovRAMP, and PCI-DSS.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in security operations, detection engineering, or incident response.
• Deep experience with at least three of: EDR, DLP, Phishing platforms, SIEM, or Google Workspace security controls.
• Demonstrated experience leading security incidents as an incident commander.
• Experience using, observing, and securing AI systems, platforms, and agents.
• Must be based in Canada, excluding Quebec.

Nice to have

• Scripting fluency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• Experience designing or operating SIEM or detection-as-code pipelines.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCIA, or CompTIA Security+.
• Experience contributing to compliance programs like SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
