What you will do

• Provide consultative support to functional leadership for the implementation of operational services and strategic initiatives.
• Oversee systemwide surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and core measures abstraction.
• Manage external vendor work regarding case selection, abstraction timelines, and data submissions to the CDC's NHSN.
• Analyze clinical databases and investigate issues causing suboptimal measure outcomes in collaboration with technical teams.
• Develop and monitor data reporting systems to demonstrate ROI and impact on business strategy.
• Design and lead training programs for clinical data registries to ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., nursing, epidemiology, public health).
• Certified in Infection Control (CIC) from the Certification Board of Infection Control & Epidemiology, Inc.
• 3+ years of experience in the application of criteria to identify and report HAIs to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN).
• Valid driver's license where required by assignment.
