What you will do

• Design and build microservices-based applications using Java 11/17+ and Spring Boot.
• Deliver enterprise-ready cloud solutions on AWS.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure, scalable deployments.
• Write strong test coverage and champion quality-driven development.
• Collaborate in agile teams to contribute to architecture and design decisions.
• (Principal level) Lead technical direction, mentor engineers, and own solution design across squads.

Requirements

• Expert-level Java (11, 17, 21+) and Spring Boot.
• Strong AWS experience with hands-on deployment of enterprise-grade systems.
• Experience with microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native design.
• Proficiency with Kafka, Java Streaming, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Must have the right to work in the UK as no visa sponsorship is provided.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and a proactive mindset.

Nice to have

• GitLab CI/CD and Cucumber/BDD experience.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• CQRS knowledge and performance testing experience.
