What you will do

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs using Java.
• Integrate core mobile network components and third-party APIs into the connectivity platform.
• Develop systems for connectivity monitoring, network intelligence, and compliance enforcement.
• Contribute to platform automation and internal tooling for SIM and MNO operations.
• Lead technical discussions, make architectural decisions, and conduct code reviews.
• Ensure high availability, observability, performance, and security of the infrastructure.

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience with Java.
• Proficiency with microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of container orchestration, specifically Kubernetes.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and observability tooling.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Reading, United Kingdom for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Exposure to connectivity platforms, mobile networks, or telecom infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Frontend development and willingness to learn React.js.
