Network Engineer

TL;DR

Location: Onsite in Victor, NY with travel across the Northeast required.

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000

What you will do

• Install, configure, and maintain firewalls, switches, and access points, focusing on Fortinet and Palo Alto hardware.
• Troubleshoot network issues and resolve technical escalations.
• Work directly with customers on-site, managing projects from diagnosis to delivery and knowledge transfer.
• Support identity infrastructure including Entra ID and Active Directory.
• Manage DNS, DHCP, routing, and cloud environments such as Azure VMs and VPN Gateways.
• Document configurations, procedures, and network diagrams for long-term client success.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Victor, NY.
• 2+ years of experience in a related field or a relevant degree.
• Strong hands-on installation and configuration experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Proven track record of working confidently in client-facing environments.
• Solid grounding in IP addressing, VLANs, port aggregation, LDAP, and RDP.
• Experience with Windows Server, M365, PowerShell, and virtualization platforms like VMware or Hyper-V.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cisco, HP, SonicWall, or Ubiquiti hardware.
• Certifications such as Security+, Network+, AZ-104, AZ-700, or PCNSA.
