What you will do
- Lead the evolution of core search and indexing capabilities for search.
- Research advances in search infrastructure, data structures, and retrieval algorithms.
- Define the long-term technical vision and roadmap for core search and retrieval systems.
- Collaborate with product teams and partners to shape the technical direction.
- Mentor expert engineers, providing both technical and professional guidance.
- Contribute directly to improving the search experience in Lucene.
Requirements
- Must be based in Sweden.
- Proven experience leading technical projects in search infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Deep expertise in core Java, advanced data structures, and concurrency constructs.
- Hands-on experience with search technologies such as search, Lucene, or Solr.
- Ability to work with a high level of autonomy, guiding projects from concept to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaborating across distributed teams.
Nice to have
- Experience working with open source projects and various CI/source control workflows.
- Previous experience building production systems using search.
