What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain critical distributed systems for alert ingestion and evaluation at scale.
• Drive projects from initial ideation and requirements gathering through to production and operational stability.
• Influence the product roadmap and contribute to the Grafana open-source project.
• Mentor team members and lead technical design discussions for scalable backend services.
• Own the reliability, performance, and availability of services, including participation in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Solid experience with Go (familiarity with Python, Java, C++, or Rust is also highly transferable).
• Experience developing software for Cloud environments or a strong background in systems engineering.
• Proven track record of shipping products in a self-driven way from brainstorming to delivery.
• Ability to write clean, robust, and performant code that is easily maintained.
• Must be based in the United Kingdom.
• Strong communication skills and an independent attitude for a fully remote setup.

Nice to have

• Experience with Prometheus-based alerting systems.
• Contributions to open-source software projects.
