TL;DR
Senior DevSecOps Engineer (GCP): Owning the technical direction and execution of DevSecOps strategies and platform delivery for a major telecommunications provider with an accent on CI/CD governance, Kubernetes orchestration, and cloud infrastructure. Focus on building secure GitOps pipelines, optimizing GCP resources, and embedding security gates across the SDLC.
Location: Must be based in Macquarie Park, Sydney (Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days remote)

What you will do
- Lead technical prioritization, backlog refinement, and sprint planning for the DevSecOps team.
- Design and govern CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and ArgoCD (GitOps).
- Manage and troubleshoot production Kubernetes clusters using OpenShift and Rancher.
- Provision and optimize GCP infrastructure using Terraform, including GKE, VPC, and IAM.
- Implement and enforce security gates (SAST, DAST, SCA) across the software delivery lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on tooling, standards, and delivery approaches.
Requirements
- Advanced experience with Kubernetes operations (OpenShift/Rancher) in production environments.
- Strong proficiency in GCP provisioning, operations, monitoring, and incident response.
- Expertise in GitLab CI and GitOps delivery patterns via ArgoCD.
- Infrastructure-as-Code skills using Terraform or Ansible, and scripting in Python and Bash.
- Experience with security tooling (SAST, DAST, SCA) and secrets management via HashiCorp Vault.
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and container hardening.
