Financial Accountant

Location: Salford, United Kingdom; hybrid working model

Salary: £50,000–£55,000 per annum

What you will do

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting.
• Prepare consolidation workbooks and supporting schedules for group reporting.
• Assist with annual and half-year audits and the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet and cash flow reports, including forecasts.
• Support quarterly VAT returns, corporation tax compliance, and liaison with HMRC and external tax advisors.
• Collaborate with internal finance teams, auditors, company secretaries, HMRC, and other stakeholders on reporting and finance improvement projects.

Requirements

• Newly qualified ACA or ACCA accountant.
• Strong understanding of statutory reporting, audit, taxation, and compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing financial reports and supporting financial control processes.
• Detail-oriented and motivated, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.
