What you will do
- Build and own demand forecasts, capacity plans, and headcount requirements across 3–12 month horizons.
- Run scenario and what-if modelling for attrition, absence, demand spikes, and other staffing risks.
- Establish workforce planning processes, tools, reporting dashboards, and scheduling workflows from scratch.
- Manage day-to-day staffing, shift planning, rota coverage, service activity adjustments, and urgent resourcing issues.
- Own the resourcing budget, contractor invoicing, overtime spend, and cost-to-serve improvement.
- Manage and develop a Resource & Planning Coordinator while partnering with Clinical Leadership, Finance, and People teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience in workforce planning, resource management, or operations management, ideally with forecasting or capacity modelling.
- Experience managing, mentoring, or developing at least one direct report.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and modelling.
- Experience designing and implementing new processes from scratch and leading change adoption.
- Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using workforce planning tools and customer service platforms such as Zendesk or Intercom.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of SQL or BI tools such as Looker or Power BI.
- Experience scaling a resourcing or workforce planning function across multiple teams.
- Background in a regulated industry or MedTech.
- Familiarity with statistical or predictive forecasting methods.
- Experience in a high-growth or fast-scaling business.
