Tech Lead (Scala): Leading a feature team to build and scale cloud-native SaaS backend systems with an accent on high-performance data architectures and AI-driven development. Focus on architecting robust backend services, mentoring engineers through hands-on coding, and maximizing team velocity using AI coding agents.

What you will do

  • Write high-quality backend code and solve the most complex technical challenges.
  • Guide the technical direction of the team using Scala, Python, and TypeScript.
  • Integrate and advocate for AI coding agents (GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to multiply engineering output.
  • Own the entire lifecycle of features designed for multi-tenant cloud scalability.
  • Mentor 3-4 engineers through pair programming, deep code reviews, and technical guidance.
  • Partner with Product Managers to refine features and translate ambitious ideas into technical tasks.

Requirements

  • Deep backend engineering experience building and scaling cloud-native SaaS platforms.
  • Production-proven experience writing code in Scala.
  • Deep experience using AI coding agents in daily workflow (Must-Have).
  • Exceptional English skills (C1+).
  • Must be based in Europe.
  • High-agency leadership and a builder mindset.

Nice to have

  • Production experience with Python or TypeScript.
