TL;DR
IT Operations and Administration Technician (System Administration): Providing 1st and 2nd level ICT support and maintaining network infrastructure for the European Space Agency (ESA) with an accent on hardware configuration, LAN/WAN maintenance, and client service requests. Focus on ensuring system reliability, troubleshooting collaboration environments, and managing the asset lifecycle via CMDB.

Location: Onsite in Redu, Belgium. Candidates must be eligible to work in the EU.

What you will do

  • Provide 1st/2nd level support for ICT incidents and fulfill client service requests.
  • Prepare, configure, and maintain PCs, mobile phones, tablets, and mobile office setups.
  • Install and administer LAN/WAN network and telecommunication infrastructure.
  • Support Internet access, wireless networks, VoIP, and Videoconferencing solutions.
  • Perform hardware upgrades and physical cabling/patch panel changes for network switches.
  • Manage and ensure CMDB maintenance throughout the lifecycle of user assets.

Requirements

  • Certificate in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
  • Proficiency in Windows OS and knowledge of remote deployment tools.
  • Experience with network management, automation, and LAN/WAN troubleshooting.
  • Experience working within an ITIL environment.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
  • Must be eligible to work in the EU and pass a general security screening.
