What you will do

• Build media products and features for millions of users.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering to execute technical and product strategy.
• Own the full development cycle: technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
• Review code and design docs, provide feedback on product specs and mocks, and help teams integrate with the video API.
• Contribute to engineering standards, improve developer workflows, recommend best practices, and mentor engineers.
• Continuously improve technical and non-technical skills.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Android development experience with Kotlin.
• Deep knowledge of Android SDK, Lifecycle, system components, Jetpack Compose, animations, and MVVM/MVI.
• Experience with Clean architecture and unit/UI testing, including multithreading.
• Ability to build data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant apps in the constrained smartphone environment.
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills to keep projects on schedule.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GraphQL and REST/HTTP basics, plus experience designing maintainable APIs.
• Hands-on experience with ExoPlayer for video/audio playback, streaming, editing, and exporting.
• Track record of optimizing apps using data and performance metrics.
• Experience optimizing video player performance or building feature-rich products on top of media playback components.
