TL;DR
Engineering Manager (Medtech): Leading and scaling high-performing engineering teams to build and optimize in-home healthcare delivery platforms with an accent on operational complexity and system scalability. Focus on driving fast execution, mentoring engineers, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve patient access to care.
Location: Must be based in or able to commute to San Francisco, CA (Hybrid: Monday–Thursday in-office).
Compensation: $220,000 – $265,000 base salary + equity.

What you will do
- Lead and grow a team of 8–12 engineers through recruiting, coaching, and career development.
- Provide technical direction and unblockers while maintaining a hands-on understanding of full-stack development.
- Drive fast execution in a high-growth, high-ambiguity environment without compromising quality.
- Partner with Product, Operations, and Data teams to deliver measurable business impact.
- Shape team structure, culture, and engineering processes to support rapid scaling.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience managing and growing engineering teams (8+ engineers).
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a full-stack background.
- Proven ability to balance fast-paced execution with technical excellence in high-growth environments.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, operations, and data teams.
- Must be able to work from the San Francisco office Monday through Thursday.
Nice to have
- Experience in health tech, healthcare operations, or logistics (forecasting, routing, scheduling).
- Experience scaling backend systems for operational complexity.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data platforms and pipelines.
- Understanding of data privacy, HIPAA compliance, and security best practices.
