TL;DR
Senior Data Analyst (Python/SQL, Global Trading): Building scalable data pipelines, datasets, and analytical tools for a front-office global markets environment with an accent on data quality, infrastructure reliability, and actionable insights. Focus on supporting quantitative research, integrating cloud platforms and APIs, diagnosing analytics issues, and translating complex technical outputs for non-technical stakeholders.
Location: London, United Kingdom; 5 days per week on-site. Hybrid working is not available for this role.

What you will do
- Partner with traders and global markets teams to understand data needs and deliver practical solutions.
- Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, datasets, and analytical tools.
- Support quantitative research initiatives by developing and applying analytical models.
- Identify data infrastructure gaps and improve reliability, scalability, data quality, governance, and accessibility.
- Act as the first point of contact for data and analytics issues, diagnosing and resolving problems.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders and translate complex technical outputs into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Python, including Pandas, NumPy, or similar data analysis libraries.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience building data pipelines, working with cloud platforms, and integrating APIs.
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles and scalable data architecture.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in financial services or a trading environment is beneficial.
Nice to have
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau.
- Exposure to advanced analytics or machine learning.
