What you will do

• Monitor and triage alerts from SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, email security, and cloud security platforms.
• Perform initial investigation and documentation of potential security incidents, escalating as needed.
• Support identity and access management tasks, including user provisioning, access reviews, and MFA/SSO support.
• Support vulnerability scanning cycles and track remediation progress; perform routine security checks.
• Assist with researching threats and vulnerabilities, and support security awareness and phishing simulation programs.
• Participate in incident response activities under guidance and collaborate with IT teams and the MSSP to resolve security tickets.

Requirements

• Work authorization: must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).
• Remote eligibility: applicants must be based anywhere in the continental U.S.
• Minimum 2+ years in IT; cybersecurity experience is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on exposure to EDR/XDR and security fundamentals (firewalls, DNS security, content filtering).
• Experience with email security/phishing protection and identity & access management (MFA/SSO).
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools, SIEM monitoring/event triage, and basic incident response processes.
