Cyber Security Analyst

Location: Munich, Bavaria, Germany (hybrid)

hirify.global is recruiting for a client establishing a dedicated security department to protect European operations across eight countries.

What you will do

• Manage the IT security mailbox, process requests, and provide clear guidance on security policies.
• Handle identity lifecycle tasks, access reviews, MFA troubleshooting, and privilege hygiene in Microsoft Entra ID.
• Monitor and remediate phishing attempts and manage Defender for Office 365 security settings.
• Track CVEs and coordinate vulnerability remediation with IT operations teams.
• Triage daily alerts in Microsoft Sentinel, support initial incident response, and escalate complex cases.
• Assist with threat intelligence, security reporting, and Azure tenant security baseline compliance monitoring.

Requirements

• Approximately two years of experience in IT security operations or IT operations; motivated career starters with a security affinity are also welcome.
• Hands-on exposure to Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Clear written communication for documenting findings, tickets, and escalations.
• Fluent English is required as the working language.
• Ability to work collaboratively and support adjacent security areas when needed.

Nice to have

• Dutch and/or German language skills.
• French or Italian language skills.
• Microsoft SC-900, AZ-200, or AZ-900 certification; certification acquisition is supported on the job.
