TL;DR
Data Engineer: Designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and analytics solutions for the USMC Logistics Data Systems Program with an accent on logistics readiness and operational visibility. Location: Remote (must be available for West Coast hours)

What you will do
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest and transform logistics and supply chain data.
- Implement robust ETL/ELT workflows to support analytics and data warehousing initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality data delivery for strategic use cases.
- Optimize database performance and manage data models to ensure consistency.
- Translate complex logistics data requirements into technical solutions for USMC stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity, RMF, and data governance standards.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain one).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, relational databases, and data modeling.
- Proficiency with modern ETL/ELT tools and technologies such as Python, Airflow, or Spark.
- Experience with cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
- Ability to work within Agile teams and collaborate with government stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting DoD, USMC, or logistics/sustainment data systems.
- Familiarity with GCSSMC or similar readiness datasets.
- Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps.
- Knowledge of RMF and secure data engineering approaches.
