Cyber Security Intern (AI)

Location: Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Hybrid model with 3 days per week in office.

Salary: $40–$55 per hour.

What you will do

• Triage and analyze incoming security issues and operate the Vulnerability Management program.
• Improve access workflows within identity and access management systems.
• Audit and refine access controls for core data platforms and cloud resources.
• Integrate automated security checks into CI/CD pipelines to enforce secure development practices.
• Optimize the SIEM platform by tuning alerts and improving log ingestion.
• Participate in security initiatives like tabletop exercises and internal documentation efforts.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in cloud security, data security, and security operations.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and foundational database concepts (SQL).
• Ability to integrate modern AI tools and local LLM agents into technical workflows.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• High degree of ownership and initiative in solving complex technical problems.
