Senior Security Analyst (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based in San Francisco, CA, United States

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end incident response, threat hunting, and root cause analysis across SIEM, EDR, cloud security, and identity infrastructure.
• Develop incident response playbooks, runbooks, and tabletop exercises.
• Own vulnerability management, risk registers, third-party risk assessments, and remediation of audit and penetration-testing findings.
• Audit and enforce security controls across Okta, Google Workspace, JAMF, and SentinelOne.
• Drive compliance evidence collection and remediation for SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and PCI DSS while aligning policies with NIST CSF and CIS frameworks.
• Automate detection, response, and reporting workflows, mentor analysts, and establish governance for enterprise AI tools and AI/LLM security risks.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in security operations, including end-to-end incident response.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanners, cloud security, and IAM concepts such as SSO, MFA, and RBAC.
• Working knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS frameworks, with the ability to communicate technical risk to business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with emerging AI/LLM risks and AI security use cases.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize incidents and remain calm under pressure.

Nice to have

• Experience with Okta, JAMF, Google Workspace, Terraform, Python, Bash, SOAR, CSPM, or native AWS, GCP, or Azure security platforms.
• Experience securing AI/ML pipelines and GenAI deployments or operating AI-driven security tools.
• Credentials such as CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, OSCP, or Security+.
