What you will do
- Greet patients and visitors, maintain the waiting area, and support reception coverage during dispensing hours.
- Verify patient identification and program participation; inform patients and staff about financial status.
- Verify insurance eligibility and authorization, communicate insurance status, and assist with resolving concerns.
- Collect and account for patient fees (copays, deductibles, coinsurance), perform weekly/monthly eligibility checks, and handle third-party reimbursements when needed.
- Manage admissions and discharges in the Central Registry and submit required reports; complete and distribute weekly reports and monthly statements if applicable.
- Perform clerical tasks (filing, document creation), schedule appointments/intakes, and support chart monitoring and clinic compliance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience as a general office clerk with basic math, accounting skills, and cash handling.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience in front desk, admissions, billing, and/or collections.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong customer service and interpersonal communication.
- Accurate data entry and basic computer/word processing skills; ability to work independently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
