What you will do

• Own the end-to-end frontend experience for billing pages, from design handoff to polished production.
• Architect scalable and evolvable React applications, focusing on performance, state management, and maintenance.
• Establish frontend practices and technical standards as the team's first dedicated frontend hire.
• Define and uphold engineering excellence through CI/CD optimizations and testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E/Cypress).
• Lead observability, frontend performance monitoring, and manage incident responses.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to refine the product roadmap and translate business goals into technical roadmaps.

Requirements

• Strong experience in architecting scalable React applications and data models.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and de-risk ambiguous goals through prototyping.
• Expertise in frontend security practices and secure handling of sensitive payment data.
• Experience mentoring other engineers and leading design reviews.
• Must be based within commuting distance of the Edinburgh hub (3 days/week in-office).
• English: Fluent proficiency required as it is the official company language.

• Experience with agentic AI workflows and AI-augmented development tools.
• Interest in extending AI capabilities through custom agentic skills.
