Salary: €5,994 – €8,563 per month

What you will do
- Define, maintain, and prioritize the roadmap and backlog for the managed Kafka platform.
- Drive adoption of event streaming by simplifying onboarding and enhancing self-service capabilities.
- Partner with engineers and architects to improve developer experience and reduce friction in user journeys.
- Coordinate with vendors (Axual) and internal teams to implement OAuth integration, observability, and cost optimization.
- Translate business needs, compliance expectations, and technical requirements into clear delivery outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience as a Product Owner in a technical environment.
- Background in DevOps, platform engineering, middleware, or infrastructure.
- Understanding of event streaming, distributed systems, and integration concepts.
- Proven ability to manage backlogs in complex environments where reliability, security, and compliance are critical.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Utrecht, NL.
Nice to have
- Direct experience with Kafka platforms or managed Kafka services.
- Familiarity with access management, ACLs, OAuth, and platform compliance.
- Experience with Axual or similar event-streaming vendors.
- Experience improving developer platforms and self-service tools.
