Backend Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design and own high-performance Python microservices and Lambda-based actors.
• Modernize backend systems with a focus on gRPC communication, scalability, and observability.
• Develop serverless functions to handle CPU/GPU-intensive workloads.
• Manage performance benchmarking, KPIs, and proactively optimize throughput.
• Integrate AI frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph into the platform.
• Ensure high quality through TDD, ATDD, and BDD testing strategies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with 3+ years in scalable microservices.
• Deep expertise in Python (experience with FastAPI or Django is a plus).
• Strong understanding of microservices, serverless design, and CAP theorem.
• Proven track record with automated testing (TDD, ATDD, BDD).
• Hands-on experience with relational, NoSQL, key-value, and graph data stores.
• Familiarity with Kafka, OAuth 2, mTLS, and zero-trust architectures.

Nice to have

• Experience with Java.
• Proficiency with monorepos in Git.
• Exposure to TensorFlow or PyTorch.
