What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate and maintain low-level CPU software, including BIOS and boot loaders.
• Perform hardware bring-up and qualify new CPUs and components in collaboration with hardware engineers and vendors.
• Develop automated tests using C, C++, and Python to validate new features.
• Track Linux Kernel developments and contribute feature enhancements back to upstream open-source BIOS communities.
• Collaborate with Customer Support and System Test engineers to analyze and resolve complex bugs in production networks.
• Provide technical leadership across projects and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• BS in CS/EE/CE with 8+ years of experience, MS with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years of experience.
• Expert knowledge and extensive programming experience in C.
• Proven experience in CPU firmware, BIOS, and boot loader environments, including board bring-up.
• Significant experience diagnosing and fixing bugs in low-level CPU firmware.
• Familiarity with x86 and ARM CPU architectures.
• Must be based in or able to work from Nashua, NH, USA
