What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain low-level CPU software and BIOS for all Arista products.
• Perform bring-up, validation, and testing of new CPU boards in collaboration with hardware engineers.
• Develop automated test suites using C, C++, and Python to ensure feature reliability.
• Monitor Linux Kernel developments and contribute features back to open-source BIOS communities.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with support engineers and customers to resolve complex system-level issues.

Requirements

• Must be based in or authorized to work in the USA (Nashua, NH).
• Expert proficiency in C; knowledge of C++ and Python is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in CPU firmware, BIOS, and boot loader development, including board bring-up.
• Strong background in x86 and ARM CPU architectures.
• Degree in CS, EE, or CE (BS + 3 years, MS + 2 years, or PhD + 1 year experience).
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles and troubleshooting skills.

• Familiarity with Linux kernel architecture and design.
