Backend Developer (AdTech)

TL;DR

Backend Developer (Node.js/PHP): Developing and maintaining a scalable SS Platform in the AdTech domain with an accent on high-volume distributed systems and service-to-service integrations. Focus on implementing complex product features, optimizing database performance, and integrating Data Science models.

Location: Must be based in Mexico (Remote/Hybrid options available)

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and deliver backend services and web applications using Node.js and PHP.
• Build performant and scalable solutions for high-volume distributed systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to enhance the technology stack.
• Contribute to system architecture and prepare technical design documentation.
• Perform code reviews and resolve production issues within Linux-based environments.
• Participate in Agile development processes and handle rotating on-call pager duty.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and PHP.
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL and Linux environments.
• Solid understanding of service-oriented system design and SDLC processes.
• English: Intermediate+ (B1) or higher required.
• Must be based in Mexico.

Nice to have

• Experience with caching systems like Redis or Aerospike.
• Familiarity with Jenkins and CI/CD automation tools.
• Prior knowledge of the AdTech domain.
• Experience integrating Data Science models into scalable platforms.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
