Senior QA Engineer (Ecommerce)

TL;DR

Senior QA Engineer (Playwright/TypeScript): Ensuring the quality and reliability of an ecommerce application with an accent on automated UI, API, and DB testing using a BDD approach. Focus on building and maintaining comprehensive test suites and integrating automation within CI/CD pipelines.

Location: Hybrid (Poznań, Poland). Must be based in Poland and available until 18:00 PL time to collaborate with the UK project team.

Salary: 12 zł — 32 zł PLN (hourly)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain automated tests using TypeScript, Playwright, and Cucumber following the BDD approach.
• Perform comprehensive UI, API, and database testing to ensure platform stability.
• Identify data requirements and implement tests to achieve optimal coverage.
• Recommend and implement improvements to the test automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers in Agile sprints and participate in daily stand-ups.
• Conduct code reviews via GitHub or BitBucket.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in test automation with TypeScript, Playwright, and Cucumber.
• Proven track record of testing eCommerce applications.
• Strong knowledge of API testing, web services, and RESTful services.
• Proficiency in SQL and backend testing, specifically with DB2 or Oracle.
• Hands-on experience with UNIX commands and log verification.
• Must be based in Poland and available until 18:00 PL time.

Nice to have

• Experience with IBM WebSphere Commerce, Magento, Hybris, or other eCommerce platforms.
• Experience working with Cypress.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure pipelines.
• Experience in the retail sector.
