Security Operations Engineer I

TL;DR

Security Operations Engineer I: Maintaining and improving security operations across SIEM tooling, WAF/DDoS protection, firewall auditing, vulnerability scanning, and cloud hardening with an accent on security incident analysis, response, and remediation. Focus on building security automation workflows and performing scripting in Bash and Python to support compliance, threat management, and penetration testing activities.

What you will do

• Own SIEM-related tools, configuration, administration, and supporting processes.
• Manage WAF and related prevention, detection, and mitigation for DDoS attacks.
• Run regular firewall audits, produce documentation/evidence, and drive remediation follow-ups.
• Handle vulnerability scanning and external port scanning tooling, processes, and follow-up actions.
• Identify, plan, and implement cloud hardening; collaborate with Operations and internal teams to document and deploy changes.
• Perform security incident analysis, response, and remediation; participate in security automation workflows and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Must be based in Poland and have sponsorship to live and work in Poland.
• Minimum 1 year Linux command line interface knowledge (required).
• Minimum 1 year knowledge of IT security principles, techniques, and technologies (required).
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (preferred).
• Experience with a programming language (e.g., Python, Golang) (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
