Backend Developer (Node.js / NestJS)

Work format: On-site / Remote
Location: Prague, Czech Republic

About the Company

We are building a high-load iGaming product and are looking for a Backend Developer to join our engineering team. You will work on payment infrastructure, develop new services, and contribute to the evolution of our scalable backend architecture.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain microservices using Node.js and NestJS.
• Integrate external payment providers and game aggregators.
• Maintain and enhance existing payment modules.
• Develop new product features, including bonus systems, categories, and other platform functionality.
• Design database schemas, indexes, migrations, and optimize queries.
• Work with infrastructure technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Participate in architecture design and technical decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with Backend, QA, and Product teams.
• Take part in code reviews, testing, and mentoring.

Requirements:

• On-site work in Prague.
• 3–6 years of commercial Backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Solid experience with Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of NestJS.
• Experience with microservice architecture.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS (EKS, S3, IAM).
• Experience with RabbitMQ.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and reliable code.
• Understanding of scalable backend architecture and best practices.
• English level: B2 or higher.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Express.js.
• Knowledge of Go (we have existing Go microservices).
• Experience with Redis.
• Experience with ClickHouse.
• Experience writing Unit and Integration tests.
• Experience with payment systems.
• Experience in iGaming, FinTech, or other high-load products.
• Experience with Live Casino, Live Events, or Streaming.
