TL;DR

Community Manager (Social Media): Managing day-to-day community interactions across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social channels with an accent on moderation, escalation judgment, and premium brand voice. Focus on creating social-first content, supporting influencer initiatives, and reporting community sentiment to inform marketing, product, and customer experience.

Location: Hybrid (Boston office) — in-office three days per week

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 USD

What you will do

  • Monitor, moderate, and respond to comments and direct messages across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social platforms.
  • Partner with Customer Experience to ensure timely, seamless responses to customer questions and concerns.
  • Publish and schedule social-first content, including capturing behind-the-scenes content with an iPhone and editing short-form videos.
  • Support influencer and creator initiatives, including gifting coordination, product mailers, inventory, shipping, and tracking creator content.
  • Maintain publishing calendars, organize creative assets, and tag products/collaborators/creators across platforms.
  • Remove spam or inappropriate content and report community sentiment and recurring themes to inform cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience in community management, social media, content creation, or a related role.
  • Exceptional written communication skills and a strong sense of brand voice.
  • Excellent judgment, emotional intelligence, and the ability to navigate nuanced situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
  • Strong understanding of community moderation best practices and comfort escalating sensitive issues (legal concerns, safety issues, misinformation, media inquiries, potential crises).
  • Deep familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and internet culture.
  • Comfort filming and editing short-form video using an iPhone and tools like CapCut.
