TL;DR

Product Analyst (Anti-Cheat): Safeguarding game integrity by analyzing player behavior and botting trends in MMORPGs with an accent on data-driven detection and preventative strategies. Focus on translating complex telemetry into actionable insights to ensure fair play across the RuneScape ecosystem.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Cambridge, UK. This role is only open to applicants with the permanent right to work in the UK.

What you will do

  • Support daily operations of the Anti-Cheat team by monitoring KPIs and player sentiment.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify botting, gold farming, and suspicious player behaviors.
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Product teams to develop effective anti-cheat deterrents.
  • Translate complex data into clear recommendations for game integrity improvements.
  • Partner with Engineering and Design teams to enhance game telemetry and reporting.
  • Communicate technical findings to diverse stakeholders to drive business decision-making.

Requirements

  • Permanent right to work in the UK without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • Experience querying and analyzing data using SQL and data cleansing techniques.
  • Demonstrable understanding of MMORPG player behaviors, specifically RuneScape.
  • Familiarity with modern data platforms like AWS, Snowflake, and OLAP technologies.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify patterns in large datasets.
